Valentina Vetturi (Reggio Calabria, 1979), works on the relationship between performance, writing and memory, beyond the personal dimension and seeking unexpected visual possibilities. A long preparation process is at the origin of the works of Valentina Vetturi, whose final form, either a theatrical scene to a daily performance on a commuter train, from the sound narrative to writing as a sign, excludes any given linguistic frame. Vetturi has also presented artworks that are apart of private and public collections, at the MAXXI and MACRO, Roma.
Her works have been shown in collective and solo exhibitions in spaces, including: “Orchestra. Studio # 3” Municipal Theater of Bologna, Italy (2020); Noorlandsoperan, Umea, Sweden (2018); ALL’APERTO, Zegna Foundation, Turin, Italy (2017); Quadrennial 16, Rome, Italy; Point Perf, Geneva, Switzerland (2016); MACRO Museum, Rome, Italy (2015); MAXXI Museum, Rome, Italy; Tranzit.ro, Bucharest, Romania (2014); Swiss Institute of Rome, Rome (2013); Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, Turin, Italy; Viafarini, Milan, Italy (2012).
